Oh, how our lives have changed.
Once Emergency Services were considered to be of importance only when we heard that a big
storm was headed our way or when some other event spelled trouble for the area in which we
live. Now since 9-11 emergency service is in the fore-front of our minds. As
amateurs we now fully comprehend (at least we should) the importance of the FCC statement
of purpose for The Amateur Radio Service where they see us as a "reservoir
of
trained operators"
The
local RACES/ARES
site provides information about our changes in operation as well as information
on how to become a member of the Washington County RACES/ARES group.
For current RACES/ARES club activities please view the Club News section on this site.
